A few nights ago i saw a Nissan 200 NX hit 170.5 with 2 MTX Thunder 9500 12's and 2 1000w Fosgate amps. This was Outlaw class though, the guy was holding the mic in the port of the box, with the subs facing into the box. Monster Audio, here in Daphne built this system including the box and all the wiring in 1 hour and 11 min. They were hitting 168 all night until they had someone sit on top of the box to keep the pressure contained.

im wondering where exactly you get these ratings id like to try my car and join in on this thread i have my 2 kicker l5's and my memphis amps wonder what i could get out of these suckers

usually at a competiton...but some shops will do it for a small fee

You put a mic on the dash in a certain spot and play a few flat tones thru your system or a sweep if you wish to get an SPL reading
