Making new sub enclosures... advice?
I'm making my new sub enclosures for the two 10's I am getting. I have just made the formed outer shell so far, and have not yet glassed the opposite side which the sub will be mounted on yet. Meaning, I have glassed the part that forms to the trunk, but have not yet cut out the mounting rings, stretched grille cloth over them, and glassed that half to the other yet. I'm doing it up near the front of the trunk, where the crawl through from the back seats it. It's gonna go up over the wheel well, and almost to the top of the trunk on both sides. I have, thus far, only got one side done (actually waiting on it to dry so I can take it out of the trunk. Now, what I am wondering it this. Is there a way to duplicate it so I do not have to tape/mask off the other side of the triunk, or are they different. From the quick measurements I took, they appear to be identical. I was thinking about getting some high density foam or possibly some wax or something that I could either carve to fit or melt and pour in to make a mold. But, will it project the correct way? I am trying to figure out if it'll flip correctly, or if I'd be wasting my time. Sorry, I don't have a digicam, so I can take pics to make this and easier explaination.
I'm in the process of making my trunk setup right now as well, and the two wheel wells are in fact different. It depends exactly on what part of the wheel well you are doing it over, but if you'll look, the left side is extended more to protect the fill up tube for the gas tank.

That's where you messed up, you read it backwards... LOL
Seriously though, I already figured it out. I was wondering if I could use the f.glass shell I made that conforms with the front driver's side of the trunk to make a mold for the passenger side. It won't work though, cause they are a lil' bit different.
