Weird HU Question?
Hey everyone, this question is pertaining to the HU in my 1969 Mustang. It is a new aftermarket cd player to fit into the stock unit's place. Basically, it is set up to the stock wires, which should be able to provide enough power to the unit since that is the way tweeter installed it. There is a CD changer and amplifier, seperate power wire, that are connected to this HU. The warranty that tweeter has offered has long expired. Now the problem is that the HU does not seem to be sending any sort of signal to the amplifier, so no music. The green LCD screen no longer has anything on it, it just glows green when it is on. Someone told me that this is probably caused by a bad ground. Does any have any idea why this HU could be doing this? Thanks.
if the display is different and there is no sound its probly a bad unit. use a volt meter to check power constant, power ignition and ground..if it gets at least 12.2 on both powers with key on it should function.
