Amp turn on/off pop

When my decks turns on and off, I get a slight thump from my subs. Not disgusting, but bad enough to annoy me.

How can I fix?

I think it's something with the amp. Mine amp actually says it has something to reduce the pop noise when the deck comes on.

Turn On/Off Thump

Turn on thump can vary from a slight pop to a mind shattering, teeth rattling BOOM! This thump is caused by the audio circuitry stabilizing when power is applied. Most amplifiers and source units have muting circuitry that lasts a couple of seconds to allow these fluctuations to subside before passing a signal. However, if the amplifier un-mutes before the source unit or any other accessory, you better watch out. Here are some things to try if you have turn on thump.

1. Verify that the amp has a good audio ground reference. (See rule 6 of the Ten Commandments of noise free installation.)
2. Don't install the system so the amplifiers can be switched on when the source unit is turned off.
3. If you still have thump, add a turn on delay module in line with the remote turn on wire to the amp.
4. This concludes the section on turn on thump.

Factory head unit right? If so run it off your power antenna output on the deck which I think you car has. I'mm pretty sure that t won't turn off when you're playing CDs. Give it a go, it should be a yellow/green wire. Not 100 sre on the color though.

This is what your antenna system looks like, it's number 3.

Aftermarket CD player

I have a proper remote wire

brash: amp cannot be turned on when the deck is turned off

I was kinda thinking ground as well. I have my amp and cap grounded to the little bump between the back seat and the trunk. Found a big screw that fit in tightly and connected it like that.
