System w/ stock cd player?
Whats up guys/gals. I have a 99 ex, i know you can hook up a system with the stock cd player but isn't there an adapter you need for the rca cables? It's just going to be temporary until i have the money for a cd player. I know i need the amp, subs, wires, fuse and fuse block, and other things but just what parts are necessary for use w/ the stock cd player? Thanks

well since there is not a sub output on the stock HU you wont be able to adjust it....the speakers should just be switching them out though. as for the amp and sub I am not sure where you would connect it.
my deck got busted, it is in repair, so for the time being i am using mt stock cd deck with my amp and sub.
what u need is an adapter that u can get at best buy, one end i will connect the 2 outplugs that lead to the amp, and the other side, u need to slice the wires on your stock harness from the back left and back right speaker cables, and connect the adapter cables to them. This way, the signal that is sent to your rear speakers will be sent o your amp and sub.
this methode gives a quick fix, by u will not be bumping as much as u could, plus i cant cotrol the bass to make it the way u want.

like how much of a difference will the bass be if i had a aftermarket cd player? i used to have a 13w7 so i know for sure its going to be as loud as that. so pretty much the only control over the subs i will have are the settings that are on the amp right?
well your stock deck is giving out like 5 watts to your amp to be amplified, an aftermarket deck will give out 50/52 watts, also the problem with using the stock deck is that the same signal is sent to your rear speakers and your sub, so at high bass you bass will be very noisy due to the distortion of the rear speakers, not to mention a higher chance of blowing them
