my HU is a alpine 7897 if you're familiar. what do you mean center freq
and extenson,and how would i go about setting that? i believe its wired at 1 ohm but i'm gonna check it again in the morning. if it were wired at 2 ohm could that cause the lower freq cut out?right now the boost on the amp is all the way off, the gain is a 1/3 of the way up and its not loud enough.

Rep Power: 337 its the tops of the waves cut off, and it sounds like distortion. for example, if you are playing a track with a bass guitar, and it sounds like a techno track with a synthesized bass guitar rather than a real one, then the waves are probbaly clipping.
