SIP crossover help
I've got a Soundstream SA244 amp from back in the day kicking around. The crossover sucks *** .... I mean really sucks. Its set at 250Hz or something stupid like that. Very high. The manual claims you just change the SIPS in the bottom to change the crossover frequency. They are like these little black strip things that plug in. I have no experience w/ these. Can anyone shed some light on these things. Can I just buy new ones somewhere?
They talk about it on this amp some ..... (on page 13) Rubicon amp
Back in the day I had it powering some subs. When I got my Pioneer 7000 it had RCA crossovers ( 50/80/125 ) and that helped a ton. It sounded way better. Now I want to use it in my gf car but I really should fix the crossover before I put it in. I know it will sound much much better.
This will help me get rid of some of my old stuff that I replaced ... plus I get to enjoy it some still here and there.
Thanks guys .....

The SIPS sound very similiar to the DIP resistors that I have to use for my Ac x-over. AC sells them for 15 dollars each...But i can get them without the brand name from Mouser.com for about 50 cents a piece.
I did a search on Mouser.com for you...you may have to do some reaserch to find exactly what you need.
