What fuse for system?

i was wondering what kinda fuse should go with a 450 w system. my friend is using a 25, but it is keep on blowing. is 40 a good fuse to use?

In a perfect world .....

P = I * V (power = current * voltage)

450 = I * 12

I = 37.5 Amps

Personally I would go 10 amps bigger than the sum of the fuses in the amp itself. If it has two 20's then do a 50 or 60 amps fuse....

just add up all the fuse values on the amp or amps...
