Wiring Subs and Suggestions for Budget
I'm thinking of buying 2 audiobahn aw1206 (125 each) (dual 4 ohm)
and a monoblock power acoustik amp (around 300$)
but i need to know what ohm level i would have to wire the subs too so i know which amp to get for the right power... im going to be putting them in a ported box and they have an 1100w rms... but im not gonna give them that much... i was thinking of giving them around 700 or around there each.... thank you in advance... im just really confused on wiring and what ohm to run my amp at... thanks

You don't choose the ohm load on anything.
The speakers are made at some ohms, as the amplifier is made to put out certain power into certain ohm load.
What you are asking about won't work. You will end up w/ a 4 ohm or one ohm load. Most mono amps are looking for a 2 ohm load for max power. The dual 2 ohm versions would work better instead.

i have two audiobahn subs. I have a 1000watt max Sony amp, mono bridged to them. I really can't explain the wiring; you basically hook the negative on the voice coil of one sub to the positive of the OTHER voice coil on the same sub. Then then the same with the positive of the voice coil of the SECOND sub to the negative of the OTHER voice coil of the second sub. Follow? Then you run the amp to the positive of the first coil on the FIRST sub and the negative of the other voice coil on the FIRST sub. Then run wires from those terminals to the matching (positive to positive; negative to negative) on the voice coils of the other sub.
The subs are dual 4-ohm voice coils. By hooking the coils together as you did in the first part of what I described, you make the dual 4-ohm voice coils act like a single 8-ohm voice coil. Then, by hooking the two subs together, you take it back to a 4-ohm. If you have any questions, PM me. I have a picture of the wiring around here somewhere. And your main concern isnt the max wattage; focus on the RMS (constant) input. I have two 200w RMS /600w max subs, so I got a 400w RMS/1000w max amp (on sale for $200).
