Question Upgrading my system...

Alright. I bought a new car. and want to upgrade my system before i put it in....

I've been shopping around and found some nice Boston Acoustics 6.5s (whatever the top model is with the huge crossover). At a local shop they want 2700CDN (around 1900US) for them, plus installing my HU, custom HU kit, Installing the speakers, and installing my amps.. I decided to think about it. so i went online. and i picked out a system that i want. keep in mind i was going to go to another store and pick up a 10W7 and an amp. so lots of money. probably another 2000CDN.

So i go online.

Pick out some stuff:
12" IDMAX (Dual 2 ohm) with a Nakamichi PA-8001 to run it. (1000watts at 1 ohm)
ADS 346is 6.5 Components (Bi-amped with my McIntosh MC420M, i have already)
Nakamichi PA-1002 50x2 (to run the Infinity 605CS' I already have, for rear fill)
25ft of 0/1Guage power wire
3 Triple Shielded RCA's (20ft each)
and a 1.5 Farad cap.

All this comes in for 1802US shipped to canada.....

but i'll have to install it myself. or hire that same shop, but i have a feeling it would be bloody expensive.

anyway. is this a good setup. or should i go with the first super expensive one which would have a 10w7 and a 500/1.

I'm running all this off my Nakamichi CD45Z.

idmax is a beautiful sub.

personally, i would take the money for the rearfill amp and use it on some kickpanels for those a/d/s components

it's a 2001 CL Type-S.

BTW, If i could do kicks i could get 3 way A/D/S instead of the 2 ways. unless i can put the 3ways in the doors. also, how would i amp those? haha. can't bi amp em can i?

idmax might get louder, and its cheaper, and it MIGHT have more low freq extension...

if youve got the money id go 12w7 with a 1000/1, but thats just me

Well, i'd rather save the money. i'm not really into that much SPL. Will the IDMAX have good SQ? if it's not loud enough i could just add another IDMAX and PA-8001

ya know, you could always go through Lokar and get an e-brake handle for the console, have it installed, and cut out the pedal....I mean, hell, if you're spending that much on a system, you might as well go all out.

idmax is light on space, you really don't even need a massive amp for it, it'll get loud with very little power. my friend griped it was too loud when i had it hooked up to an overrated 400W peak amplifier.
