But which DVD player do you recommend???
is there a site that i can do some research on the pos - negs of each, and the ratings by consumers
i am looking for good quality screen, good output and other little options

i have been lookin at clarion, kenwood to name a few

please help me out

Get the Pioneer one. My boy has one and it looks and sounds tyte as *****. Plus its detachable (most of them are now though ne way).

the clarion is a good unit, the panasonic is a good unit, and the kenwood is a good unit, alpine doesn't (to my knowledge) make one with a built in dvd player

Okay few more questions
I have read that some indash DVDers wont play unless ebrake on, True???
also is there any DVD players that can play mpeg or downloaded music videos, movies???

True, it is illegal for drivers to watch monitors while driving, other than looking at the map on your navigation. But no movies, tv, video games, etc. can be watched by the driver while the car is in motion. So to make sure someone can't, the DVD or monitor is rigged to the ebrake so that videos can only be watched with the ebrake on. You can bypass it so that you can watch videos in your car while driving.

There aren't any DVD players out there that I know of that can play mpeg's or downloaded music videos unless you burn it into a readable format on a DVD for the player to read. That's the only way I could think of.

I would go Alpine. They make an in-dash DVD player, with or without monitor, and they make a changer that can play DVD's as well. Personally I think Alpine is the best. www.alpine1.com
