Is your amp bridgeable? There are amps out there that are two channel amps that aren't able to be "bridged" to one channel output.

What amp do you have.....and it would help also to know what kind of subs you are running and what are the ohm loads of your subs........4 ohm, dual 4 ohm, 2 ohm, dual 2 ohm, etc etc.....

dual 4 ohm voice coils? or dual 8 ohm voice coils?

If dual 4 ohm coils, you could wire in 4 ohm bridged load, which the amp would handle. If dual 8 ohm coils, you could wire subs in 2 ohm configuration, although your amp (LA1470 I assume) can only bridge to a 4 ohm load.

I'll draw a quick picture and see if I can figure out how to post it on here for you wiring schematic, assuming that you have dual 4 ohm subs.

This will result in a 4-ohm bridged load on your amp using two 4-ohm DVC subs.
