Kicker L7 or Alpine type R
Aight i did a search...but this question is pretty specfic...since no one has the same amp i have.
I am either going to go with one 12" Kicker L7, Type-r Alpine, or an Infinity Perfect DVQ
the amp that will be powering this sub will be a kicker ix 2302......i think the amp powers up to about 900 watts....but not 100% sure.
What do yall think??? Looking for good bass but still somewhat clean.....and i know the larger the sub the muddier the bass is going to get....but i need a sub that can handle the power....without dropping my bank account (ie jl W7) or using up the entire trunk.
WHAT WOULD U DO?

L7 will be a little be a great match with a 2302 (230x2 rms @2 ohm) Yes it will push close to 900 peak watts.
Put that bad boy in a 2.5 ft ported box, and youll be happy

L7 will give you monster monster bass no doubt. Type R will be a bit more accurate though. If it were me I'd do a pair of alpine Type Rs, they're only rated at 250 RMS. A friend of mine has a pair running off an Kenwood Excelon amp, sounds quite nice.

i read on a site that the amp i got with a kicker l7 12" hit 145 db's
for one 12" thats really good. Infact that would win a few shows here in the low class.....pending on who shows up. 1 12" hiting 145 damn! Would the type R's hit that well?

that L7 12 was most likely tuned really really high to just play one note for half a second at an insane volume at very high power levels.
would a single L7 12 in a regular box hit 145? hell no.
if your amp can provide around 460 rms it would make a ported L7 get decently loud.
