Subs: Kicker or Alpine?

hey i have two 12" kicker comp CVR's. They hit pretty hard, but everyone is tellin me that the alpine type R's hit way harder and are better overall. Which is better, Kicker comp cvr, or Alpine type r?

nice setup
I would just keep those ones you have.
There's no need to spend money if you're happy with what you have.

Sounds like the "whatever I have is better" phenomenon. No matter what you get there is someone out there who will talk trash about it.

I'd stick with the VR's. But if you can sell the kickers for a good price, then pick up two type-r's for a cheap price, i'd go for it. I love the entire alpine series.

That's just me though. Like the other guys said, go with what you feel.

see what I mean..it's **** like that! I bet if you sat in my car like everyone else and heard my system you'd think it's sounds real nice,if I didn't tell you the brand! But liek alot of people say it's not the gear you use it's all in the install.Well my brother-in-law whose been building car systems for 10+ years built mine and that shitty little sony sub in a nice tuned bandpass box gets loud and low. It's good enough for me and thats all that matters.Although I will be Switching to infinity kappa perfects in a small sealed box once the wife lets me spend some $$$ but thats because I want some of my trunk space back.
