jl xr vs. vr

Hey
just wanted to know if the sound quality difference is worth the price difference. I'm going to be putting either the XR or the VRs as my stage, in Q-forms. I will be needing an amp, too but I dont know how much wattage I need to supply for the XRs or the VRs or if i should just run them at RMS. I'm wanting more of an SQ feeling in my car rather than SPL but yea.. My budget isn't too great but if there's a world of a difference between the 2 then i'll just go for the XR's... I currently have Type-Rs all around (except for subs) but i've gotten tired of them...
Thx in advance

-Axel

If you need an amp ..... then I am assuming you don't have the Type-R's on an amp.

The Type-R's are great speakers, so if thats the case get an amp for them.

The Type-R's will sound night and day different. It will be like getting all new speakers. Only you would know the truth.

As far as I am concerned Pioneer makes great amps. They might not be the most "powerful" but the do what the claim. Quality amps that will produce clean sound for years.

i always thought otherwise. mid-grade amp with mid to low quality crossovers with a tendency to stop working
