Angry Blew Another XR Mid!

This is really getting old. I have a JL XR Component set and originally I blew my first two mids due to the fact that I had my gain up too high. Afterwards I got two more, telling the seller that they were defective. So I have two more, well the passenger side one blows due to a stupid mistake. So im left with the drivers side mid, and a friends friend who works at a car audio place replaces the passenger side mid for free. Well like 4 months later to today, i've been listening to my two JL mids and tweeters without a problem. Just tonite when I was driving around, the drivers side mid starts making a weird noise. The speaker starts to rattle on and off. I get home and I turn the balance to the drivers side, my mid blows. So im pretty pissed off. I take it out of my door and I notice that when I feel the dust cap, I can feel the voicecoil up in there. Now, the speakers I blew previously, the magnet was hot as hell. The magnet on this mid isn't extremely hot as previous mids that I blew. I have a HiFonics ZX6000 and I have the gain less than half-way up. Why the hell does this keep happening to me? On another note, several months ago a transistor in my amplifier blew, it had something to do with one of the channels. That didn't affect how my speakers sounded at all though. So I really doubt it was that particular thing that caused this to happen. If you all could please help me then id really appreciate it.

Dude .... what don't you understand.

Your giving them too much power. Gain at half or whatever.

Amp: 150x2 rms, 300x2 max
Speakers: 70 rms, 150 max

No one else is doing anything like that and no one else seems to have any trouble w/ them.

Ya, nice stuff.

I'll never forget the first real system I ever saw.

A single HiFonics Boltar running four 12's in a hatchback. Dimmed the lights so bad they almost went out. I was only 17 and thought it was so bad ***.

Who needs highs when you have four 12's ... haha.

Yea, im an idiot, I know. I can get that one speaker replaced, and I will definately get a professional to tune my hifonics amplifier.

no need for a professional, just need for your gain to be REALLY low
