Question Just curious ...... Help!

I was considering purchasing the stock CD player off ebay or sumthin cuz i like the stock look better than my current setup .... I know i will be sacrificing some sound quality but ...... i was wondering if the stock head unit has an RCA output? I was thinking about running a 4 channel amplifier to make up for my lack of power by going stock. Will this work? Thanks in advance!

Yukonart will become famous soon enough
Nope. . . no pre-outs on the stock decks. . . but I think some amps will accept speaker-level inputs from any deck.

Sepeaker level inputs allow an amp to connect to a head unit using the positive & negative, from the left / right leads, coming from the rear of the deck.
They're a better option than a high to low level converter if there are no RCA outputs on the deck you want to connect to an amplifier.

Some folks call 'em Speaker level inputs, and others call 'em high level inputs.

If you were wondering about a high to low level converter, here's an image of one, as well as a link to it.

itll be fine off the stock cd player. you already know yoru not getting competition quality sound, and it sounds liek you dont care about that anyways.

there will be a great difference between an amplified stock radio and just the stock radio by itself, ipersonally think enough to justify the cost.

if you liek the look of the stock radio better, i say go for it.

profile doesnt have the best reputation around, thats for sure, but i wouldnt worry too much, yoru radio itself doesnt have the best reputation around, either.

I think youll be happy with it, just a small upgrade form stock anyways, right?
