simple alarm problem

my friend just got a turbo timer installed but he has to wait for it to shut off in order to set the alarm on. i'm thinking its because you cant turn the alarm on while the car is running(blah my alarm you can).

i'm thinking it's one of 3 wires(because when we unplugged this harness, the alarm didnt work at all). there's
yellow - 12 vdc ignition source
orange - ground output when armed(starter disable)
red - constant

the model is a pursuit pro-2kkd but i cant find the manual for it here's a manual for one of the pursuit alarms tho.. http://www.audiovox.com/manuals/inst...1286223_IM.pdf

I'm not an expert or anything, but I would use the constant 12 v only... that way the alarm wont know when the car is on or off??

Splice the yellow into the constant 12v wire.. that may work.. i didnt read the part where you simply tried cutting it.
