sticky locks... grrr.... happen to you?

after removing/putting back on my door panels, my locks dont operate smoothly any more when done by hand... any idea what happened? i didnt break anything, and i didnt twist anything... i looked and looked with a flash light, nothing is running... maybe something happened to the cable? what can i do? the doors lock and unlock just fine with the remote (ex) but when done by hand, it doesnt have that oem feel it feels mushy, and when you lock the doors electronically, the switch will go down momentarily, then pop back up half the way

Mine did that too....take the door back off, and put it back on, make sure the lock tab that pops up and down is lined up perfectly with the hole, and that you don't bend the peice holding it up.

tom1178 is an unknown quantity at this point
I had the same problem with my door locks last winter. To make problems worse, every time the temperature dropped below 20 degrees or so, my locks on the left side of my car would freeze. I'd have to get in and out of my car on the right side until i had the heat going for 20 minutes or so inside the car. I hate living up north.

I took the door panel off two or three times and put it back on before i got everything lined up right and got rid of the problem.
