Did you search? Not a common swap but it is doable.
The R18 is a very capable engine and can be modded for some nice power.
Sell the 07 and buy a old hatch or Civic to put the K into, more bang for the buck.

The lx was my first car so it's one of those things like I would pay more than it's worth to fix it just so I could keep my first car

Ah ok I understand that. Well there isn't anyone on this forum currently that has done that swap but if you google R18 to K20 swap lots of stuff comes up. I would start reading through to see what you can find. From my quick and dirty search it looked very custom and expensive but can be done.
Good Luck!!

You have both cars so there should be no major issues.
Wiring harness may cause issues. The best idea would be to us the k series harness, just double check to make sure it will plug into your gauges/and interior. You could also try using the r18 harness, but make sure the ECU pinout is the same.. in order to run the k series ecu.
If the chassis is the same, you should be able to use the k series subframe for the torque mounts, then change the engine mounts if needed. If that doesn't work the use the r18 subframe and buy/fabricate mounts.

Re: R18 to k20 swap with donor car
Hey guys I’m new to the forum.
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING
Im currently doing the swap right now From a 09 lx to an Si. I brought the whole swap from a donor car. Engine, engine harness, motor mounts the whole 9. I basically left the engine bay empty.
To make story short, this new motor had electric power steering the old one didn’t. So I’m order to keep the electric on I had to swap the whole harness that goes behind the dash as well.
After removing the dash everything plugged in except one connector (it’s a blue one that’s right next to 2 white ones, in the driver side kick panel).
The new harness connector doesn’t match with the original harness in the car.
is started splicing some cables and I got the rpm gauge to finally read. The cluster stopped giving me those weird code, but now I have an immobilized problem. Has anyone had this issue with this connector? Can anyone help me find the wiring diagram for this connector? I just need something.
