High & Low Beam Flasher

Can some one please tell me how to flash the beam during day time driving without switching on the head lights of my Civic? It does not seem to be possible without keeping the lights on.

Thanks but it does not work till you switch on the lights. I am concerned about day time driving when the head lights are not on. This a serious defect which HONDA needs to set right by a recall as it is a serious hazard. When a fast moving car is approaching fro the opposite side during day time, there is no time to switch on the head lights and flash the beam as a warning.

Re: High & Low Beam Flasher

Assuming the India market version of the car was equipped the same as the rest of the world...... Kinda sounds like Rakesh owns a car that's broken.

That doesn't make it Hondas responsibility in any way, shape, or form.

Re: High & Low Beam Flasher

From an 08 owners manual:

High Beams

Push the lever
forward until you hear a click. The
high beam indicator will come on
(see page 61). Pull the lever back to
return to the low beams.

To flash the high beams, pull the
lever back lightly, then release it.
The high beams will stay on as long
as you hold the lever back.

Re: High & Low Beam Flasher

My '02 civic and my gf's '08 civic high beam flash works properly. A recall would only happen if it was a defect in a large percentage of that model produced.

Your combination switch is probably broken, as ezone implied.
