Yellow Fog Lights

So i recently bought yellow foglights on ebay(dont remember the seller) but the two are different shades of yellow when i turn them on and i dont feel like going through the whole process of returning and shipping and all that stuff so i was wondering, how can i get the yellow off of them and make them clear again? i mean im sure the glass is just painted but how can i take that Paint (whatever kind it is) off of the glass?

I am not sure, but i imagine you can treat them light headlights to get them apart, heat em up take the lens off, if it is not a film and the plastic is actually yellow you may be SOL but you can always try paint thiner(if you think its painted). Just and idea as i have not tried it so i am shooting from the hip here. LOL

Re: Yellow Fog Lights

^ what he said. Try taking them apart and see if the lenses pop out. You might be able to get replacement ones or it might just have a yellow film on it that you can remove.

Paint thinner might eat up the plastic but idk. If it does then you might be able to sand the paint off with a fine sandpaper then use a restoration kit to buff them back.

I would just return them and get new ones. You don't need them to use the car and if you mess with them then you probably cant get them replaced for free from the company.
