Short Shifter
Alright boys... The time has come for me to buy my short shifter. I hear you all talking about the Revo one (since I dont believe DC make more then just the adapter for our cars) and I believe we have a pully system not a rod.. i didnt look yet. So what do I need? I hear a lot of you talking about bushings for your shifter?
The bushings are metal instead of the stock ruber ones.
Grey's upgrade clips are to reduce play in the shifter cables & a replacement for the cotter pin.
Sounds good along w/ a shifter upgrade. They're cheap too!

i dont have my bushing kits in stock yet till june 6th,
you can pre-order one right now at the site if u want.
i have an obx short shifter, its a replica of the revo, but its er... poorer in quality? cuz i think mine could have been welded on better... like its not perfectly straight.. but its 40% cheaper and works fine... I've had it for proably 5-8,000 miles and no problems... but yeah there's some quality control issue there... like one guy got one thats like crack or something. i think he got a refund fine though.

Well I can give you the other side of the story. Its nice to have a short shifter but its not really worth the money. I installed mine about two weeks ago. It looks better cause its shorter and the shifting is a little bit smoother. But worth the money I think not. Save it for something else. Just grab the shifter lower when your going from gear to gear.

well, yeah.. when I had the Neuspeed short shifter adapter...
for 90 bucks, it was not worth it. it did shorten the throw, but man.. I got use to that thing in like a day.
i dont even know if the revo is worth it to some people.
but the obx cost me $58 shipped... and it shortens the stick, so the RSX **** doesn't look funky... its a bit stiffer.. but the throw is noticably shorter... so I'm happy. Happy enough to keep it. The stock stick is just too high for my blood.
I'm use to it now, so I wouldn't know if its short or not... but man, the first time you try it... you start giggling like a girl cuz its so damn short. *cough*
but after a day or two, or a week... you get use to it, and forget how long it was.
yeah i'm going to stop myself before it gets nasty.
if you can get a deal on one, I would say grab it.. its a nice mod, one of the more functional ones IMO.
but its all personal preferences, if you dont like it.. at least you can sell it to someone that wants one.

I really like it, but I'm already getting used to it even though I've had it for a day. It feels a lot stiffer and a lot shorter, I also seem to be able to feel the gear selectors mesh.

er. no its not.
well, when they make it right.
you're talking about the screwed up one i mentioned... not only is the stick higher than STOCK, the assembly is like missing a bracket.

I have the ReVo SS... It was less than I expected, but he11 yeah its great though! When racing, it dramatically helps. I'm used to it now, but I drove an RSX Type-S this past weekend at a Club RSX meet (I kinda just ran into them at the beach) and man, his throw from 1st to neutral was equivelent to my 1st to 2nd. I say its worth it. And I think the ReVo is a few cm shorter than the OBX too, I saw it in some pictures...
Hey Cap, hows the intake???
