Header Question
Header Question
Alright you HP guru's!! I got a question for you... I could have searched for this probably but I dont have the time right now! seriously, I need this in less than 4 days probably... Gonna check for answers tomorrow morning and order.
What header gives the EX the most horsepower gains?? Its gotta be something I can order tomorrow. Street legal is not an issue.
I appreciate the help.

The DC sports will not net much, if at any, gains. The HP header with downpipe, highflow cat, and their full cat back exhaust should net you the best gains. Again, it isn't street legal though. And an 02 simulator will send a signal to your ECU saying that the amount of 02 in your exhaust is fine even though there is not O2 sensor present in your exhaust.
Aren't all the headers for EX just shorties? If you want to change the cat, you'll have to cut it off the downpipe and put in a high flow cat or a "test pipe". I just wonder if only a header is going to really do anything for an EX, as the OEM is already pretty efficient.
As emissions is not a concern, get the HP Racing header- it is the best so far (no question about that) It has a full length header. You can replace the cat w/ a straight pipe for some additional gains, but it'll be negligible.
