I was just wondering what our stock headers are made out of?

No, r3dlin3 is right. It is an exhaust manifold, header is just a generic term for it. They call it that because it comes out of the head.

Oh and r3dlin3.. I'm in a car club, Redline Motor Sports, thought that was a cool coincidence.

God Dammit, I've heard about enough of that ****. The guy said "our headers", that's plural, with an "s". You fargin' people that have to come and post **** like that and add nothing to the discussion ought to be kicked outa here.

And yes, we do have headers. If you haven't done it yet, look under the heat shield on an EX and then come back and tell me that ain't a header. And it's made out of carbon steel cause it's all rusty.

It ain't because it comes out of the head either. A header has a separate tube for each cylinder. A manifold is one piece with an inside passage for each cylinder.

There are all kinds of headers, and the term doesn't just pertain to cars.
