magnaflow muffler

what do you guys think of this muffler? i already got the magnaflow catback but i don't really like the big diameter of the muffler on it... so i was thinking of just replacing it with this. this is the muffler that comes with the magnaflow catback for the rsx.

How do you know the diameter is smaller? The specs off that link show the same piping but they don't specify the muffler diameter. And wouldn't that required some custom piping?

because both the tips are 4" and from proportionality, that means the diameter of the muffler itself is smaller on this one.

check out the magnflow website for more info on this.

oic....learning something new everyday
I have the cat-back also and there is that big arc in the piping near the rear. Does the rsx muffler have that? Wouldn't that mean you need some customization to get it in? Who knows...I might do the same thing.

no i don't think there are any modifications needed since the length of both mufflers are 14". just a simple "cut off old muffler, weld on hangers, weld to pipe" job... that is if you got the magnaflow catback to begin with... the real one, not custom.
