Another muffler question

Does anyone know why my muffler system vibrates when idling and even more when the a/c is running. Thank you in advance

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Another muffler question

The AC puts an additional load on the engine and you hear the sound change as the engine works harder, and it goes back to normal when the compressor cycles off. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Re: Another muffler question

There is an idle up system on cars that bumps the idle up when the compressor cycles on the AC since it draws a few HP and the lean idle does not take much to affect it. . Most new cars are so even, you hardly notice it. Older ones were adjustable. My CRV hardly blips the tact. My truck bumps up 150 or so. Can you see it cycle in the tac setting at a red light with AC on low fan?
