yes, a lx header will fit a dx. the best i've heard so far is the hp, some other members might have different opinion on that. or you can do a ex exhaust conversion
A DX and LX exhaust are the same exact length. The EX exhaust is a little shorter. This is because on the DX/LX models, the setup goes as follows:
Rear section and muffler (same on all three models), midsection (on the DX/LX models, it is a straight pipe that goes all the way to the front and archs up and connects to the cat, on the EX model, it is one straight pipe that has the cat under the car).
The only thing you need to worry about is, since you have a sedan, you need to get an exhaust for a sedan. There is a very small difference in the length between the sedans and coupes. So, even though Tanabe sells for the LX models, it is for a coupe only. There is a peice that Tanabe sells that will fill the gap, not sure where to get it though.
The only major company I know that sells for a LX sedan is DC Sports (the twin canister system). They sell for all trims and all models for our car. You can find it through any major store. Greddy sells for the EX sedans and coupes, but not the LX/DX models. Apexi only sells for an EX coupe. And like I said, Tanabe for trims, but no sedans.
You can also do an EX exhaust conversion. For this, you would have to buy an EX exhaust and either find an EX header and have an aftermarket cat welded in between the header and midsection, or you can get the EX exhaust and get the HP race header which has a high flow cat on it and connects straight up to the midsection. I heard you have to do a sway bar conversion in order to fit an EX exhaust on your LX/DX. I could be wrong.

And, since you have an LX (unless you do the EX conversion) you should go with the Kamikaze. Pretty sure it is the only header out for the LX/DX models, and it gets rid of your cat, which is even better. More flow, louder sound. But you will have to swap your stock header back in for emmissios. I believe it runs around $340. This is an exact picture:
