Phillips Bulbs
Has anyone tried the Phillips VisionPlus bulbs or the All Weather bulbs? The VisionPlus are supposed to be different than the American Silverstars.
They are the brightest halogen bulbs on the market so I hear, but they looks like stock bulbs ...meaning you're not gonna get an "HID look". You'd havta get PIAA's that burn out on you, or silverstars that look a tad more whitish, but not much brighter than stock for that "HID look".

Or get sylvania cool blues. They have a slight blue coating to make the light look whiter (not brighter) than stock bulbs. [stock=3200K, CB=3800K]. It doesn't look like those other rice lights, just a regular white light.
I had Philips Vision Plus bulbs imported from the UK. They are brighter and whiter than stock halogen bulbs, but not as white as ricer bulbs. They had more light output and an absence of hot spots in the beam cast. I'm trying Sylvania Cool Blue right now, but they're not as good as Philips Vision Plus.
