problem with my gauge cluster, need help!

I just recently took off my indiglow face gauges due to them burning out. When I had them on, the tack would stick from time to time. Now sense I took them off, my tack sticks all the time now! And it is the factory gauges. Did the factorygauges just come loose and need to be taped down? Help me, its driving me crazy!

It sounds like you still have some adhesive stuck under the base of the needle. I know you probably already checked, but it wouldn't hurt to look again. Other than that, you might have messed up your tach needle from all times the gauges made it stick... But I'm almost positive that you have some leftover double-sided tape under the needle's base...

Thanks man, hopefully that is it and I won't have to get a new cluster. But if I do have to does the older civic(like the 6th gen SI) clusters fit?

Nope, the older clusters dont fit. Is your car under 36k miles? Take it back to Honda and claim it as a warranty problem if its under 36k. Just dont tell them about the indiglo's

no they are a completely different layout as well as shape. It wont fit, put it all back to stock and go to dealer saying your tach is sticking

Well sorry to say, but when I wrecked my car back in oct. honda did all of the repairs so they know all of my parts on my car. And when I took off my face gauges, the double sided tape tore a piece of my factory gauges so it you can tell that the cluster has been apart with aftermarket gauges put on. I'm going to see if my factory gauges are just loose and need to be taped. If not than I'm going to have to find anothe cluster to buy.
