CF side splitters or metal plates??

Does anyone here know about any to use??? A lot of people just say go with metal plates under the kit so it'll take the scratches . . . .but the side splitters will take the scratches and impact of the bumps. . anyone got sites to buy em?? or DIY how to make a splitter?

The whole point of a splitter is for added downforce on the front end of the car when on a track and to allow less air from going under the body of the vehicle which results in lift (turbulence under the car).
The picture of the car in the link with the "splitter" seem to be useless (performance wise). Those seem to be just for show.

I just wanted to use it for a somewhat protective cover for the kit

up close those can actually look pretty good, I have seen a metal one on a silver 2k1 civic coupe looked good. Carbon Fiber would look good, but not after hitting a bump. If you find the shop name, please post it. thanks
