header: 4-2-1 or 4-1???
whad up!! i'm going to buy a header for my car but i'm not sure which one i should get?!? i have a 02 EX. What would be better and give me more power. DC sport 4-2-1 or a DC sport 4-1. whats tha difference?? thanks alot!
Not a pro, but from what I've heard and researched, the 4-1 will give you more top end power sacrificing a little bottom end and the 4-2-1 is good for mid-high. So I guess just depends where you want your power. DC is good.
good luck

no such thing as a 4-2-1 header for our car... yet, and to my knowledge.
the DC headers are overpriced and wont do much.
do a search on header, headers, etc. in the search function..
its best to research and come up with ur own conclusion base on a detailed research on people's opinion and facts... than just listen to some people telling you to grab this or grab that.

I just installed the HP Racing 4-1 header w/ high flow cat and oh my god does it make a difference!
The two biggest restrictions that our engine has to deal with is the small factory header, and the highly restrictive factory catalytic convertor. The HP header is a full 4-1 header which comes with a "high flow" cat (it's actually just a pipe ) and does away with all the restrictions after the engine. You can buy just the top half of the header from DC sports, but it will just be a waste of money in my opinion because you still have the restrictive cat. You'll feel a little gain, but it won't be nearly as much as with the HP header. Sure, you have to shave a motor mount, but when I felt the power that I gained, I didn't regret it one bit.

you can put the HP header in without shaving it but either lifting the engine out of the engine bay.. or removing some mounts and rock it inward... both of which usually requires a shop to do that for you...
so yeah, all bad choices. heh. but u wont be shaving any mounts. thats for sure.
