HKS Hyper - who's got one? VS. Thermal/DC/etc.

I've been able to find 2 pics of a HKS rear section installed on a 01+ civic so far. Does anyone have one on their car that I can see? Also, what are you impressions as to gains compared to the stock system, or one of the catbacks? The only other one I'm considering at the moment would be the Thermal R&D catback. I've heard some negative things about it though, I'd appreciate if someone could shed some light on that too. Thanks

I was set on getting a thermal catback. I decided not to after hearing from a few people on this site that it rattles when wet. Also, the larger piping reduces low end torque. The thermal rear section was my first choice, but it got discontinued. My search continues.
Oh, as to your question, doesn't the HKS exhaust mount at an angle? I like a straight exhaust that looks good. TCS is a little weird looking, so I'm stuck.

Hope that helped

How about the Thermal rear section? Anyone have any pics of it installed on a car? Very helpful replies by the way, thanks.

I am trying to decide between these 2 exhausts, also. I am thinking about going with the Thermal R&D because the HKS looks like it may have clearance problems w/ my drop. Although I've already lost some backpressure due to my exhaust manifold. I wish I could go to a shop and take a test drive w/ each of them.

Did you get new custom pipe, or did you just attach it to the stock piping?

Have you considered the Apexi n1 series or the world series, or the DC exhaust, or greddy. R u looking just for looks, sound, or performance.
A good website for some cheap exhaust systems is www.modacar.com

Curt, I've considered every single exhaust out there. I don't like the way the DC or the Greddy look, and the N1 would be good, but I want to hear it in person. The clip that got posted to the big exhaust sound thread here sounded AWFUL.
