Your Thoughts on 2 Short Throw Shifters...
Hey guys,
I'm looking into getting a short throw shifter kit. I know a lot of people like the Revo Technica Racing Short Shifter, but what about the Solo Short Shifter Shifter Kit?
Where will my money be well spent? I realize a lot of people have gone the extra mile to add KumoSport busihings to the Revo.
I'm leaning towards the Revo with bushings right now...
Thanks,
xian

um.
all of those differences will be gone in a few days of driving. (for me, 10 minute of driving)
the stock was so much smoother anyway.
all these short shifter will get you stiffer shifting, if thats what you want.
I duno, do a search, I think there's quite a number of reviews on them.

I got the PRO-1 sshifter off of Ebay. Same as the Revo Shifter and Nuespeed shifter adapters. Just moves the cable linkage up a bit to reduce the throw. The PRO-1 runs for about 29 bucks compared to 80 bucks for a neuspeed or SOLO.

you'll find that a few of us here will get use to the "shorten" throws quickly...
I mean, the difference was felt when I installed it. I was like hey wow this is short.
but after driving and shifting for awhile, u get use to how short it is... and it feels like stock.
I mean, if I switch it out right now to stock, I'll be like wow it was so much shorter before... BUT, after awhile, will I remember or care? not really, IMO.
also, the adapters and revo makes it stiffer... the stock was butter smooth.. it helped when I greased the adapter and joints up some more, which made it more smoother.. but the grease will go away eventually...
I find that, lots of aftermarket parts aren't worth the price they labeled them. usand sometimes a generic replica (ie: those Pro-1 adapters) can be just the same as the brand name ones.
I think those Pro-1 are solo/dc replicas. they've been known to get loose out of engine vibration or chassis vibration though.
for the neuspeed adapter I have, I had to drill the shifter and install the adapter, I even had to torque the nut to 10lbs.ft neuspeed made it pretty well, its not going lose or anything.
