CAI vs SRI

sorry if this was answered in a previous posts.... but i couldnt' find any posts realting to my question... anyways.... i just bought my 02 civic lx.. manual like 2 days ago... and having fun.... still learning to drive stick but i'm getting used to it.. hehee.. anyways... i saw some pix of aem CAI installed in the civics.. and i noticed that the intakes don't go around the bumper area... where it used to... and instead the intake is behind the radiator... i saw some pix of the injen intake and their intake goes all the way down to the bumper area... anyways.... since aem's CAI is still in the engine compartment and not around the lower part of the bumper, doesn't it still take up hot air... so my question is this... since SRI is also inside the engine compartment... is there any air temperature diffrerence between the CAI and the SRI? and lastly... are the 01 lx/dx/ex/ intake the same as the 02 lx intakes? cause the intakes for the 02 ex and the lx intakes are different.... and lastly do you guys know any good sites around the web that has a good price for a CAI intake.. or around the cerritos area that sells the intake for a good price... thanks

I've heard some people say the AEM does pickup some warm air, but I'm not 100% sure on this.
I've just installed an InJen CAI a couple of weeks ago. Personally, I love it. There is definite improvement in performance and sound.
I went with the InJen because of the location of the air filter. Its tucked into the bumper, safe from nature's elements, however I have to remove the wheel well cover
whenever I need to access it. Unlike the AEM you can just reach down to it.

As far as price, try walking into a couple of local shops asking for there best quote. When they give it to you, just chuckle and say "No, I meant you best CASH quote", ie underthetable.
You'd be surprised, with how much you can get the price down.

InJen vs AEM is just a perference, but either way you go they're both awesome!!!

There is plenty of information on this subject. All you have to do is use the search function, you could probably even use the same title!!
