Can I make my AEM CAI an SRI??
Can I just attach the filter from MY AEM CAI to the end of the first tube and use it as a SRI type intake. PLease disregard that mumbo jumbo post that looks similar to this one. I had some keyboard problems. Thanks.

Well I did it and there don't seem to be any problems at all. I drove around for a good amount on the street and highway. Here is a pic to check it out.

Because I was driving in the rain the other day and I saw a few puddles that would have definitly submerged the filter. Untill I have the money for a bypass valve, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I know that their is no CAI for the auto trans. Their is an SRI for the auto trans. I don't know if AEM makes an SRI, but if they don't and you really want an AEM, you can always buy the CAI and only use the upper tube. Hope this helps.
i got an aem cai and because of to much rain where i live i changed it over to a sri and it works perfectly. i went out and bought the bypass valve but unless u got the tools to cut the pipe to make it fit its really not worth it . it only takes me about 10 min. to change my intake back and fourth .
