Sylvania SilverStar Halogen?

Anyone here tried these new Sylvania SilverStar halogen bulbs?

I saw them on Hi-Rev Tuners, and they claimed they were HID bright and HID coloured, but in a halogen format. I see them around online for approx $30-35 for a pair and wondered if they worked like they claim. And, more importantly, if anyone had tried them in their 7thgen.

I am looking for something brighter without going to HID, but also something that isn't so bright it blinds people I pass. For now I have gone up to a little hotter GE halogen bulb, but it's not enough.

I'd appreciate any educated comments on this particular bulb series.

I'll definitely look into this. Sylvannia's Cool Blues were known to last long (and they're legal)....

They said these were legal... and showed them against HID and halogens and they looked like they were as bright as they claimed.

yes these are very nice bulbs, probably the best you could get without going hid, but unfortunately......................
there is no 9003 bulb. so no silverstar bulb for our car.

bummer! maybe we need to ask them if they plan on it... as I would replace my current ones with them easy.

I've tried PIAA's, Cool Blues and Catz as well as stock. So far the Cool Blues are the best as far as seeing to drive is concerened. I'm now ready to try the Cool Blues in the Catz system. Not sure if they will stand the higher voltage, but worth a try. Nothing lost as I still have the other bulbs for spares. If I can find the Silver Stars will try them too. I think they are available now for our cars.
