Rep Power: 0 Anyone Bought These Dash Trim Kits?
I found a company that makes some nice looking dash trim kits at http://alkaplus.com/. Has anyone bought one of these kits? I'm looking at the brushed aluminum kit. Are these any good? Anyone have them? Pics would be nice. The only reason i'm thinking about buying one of these is that you get so many more pieces than you do with the oem kit.

Rep Power: 0 140 somethin aint that bad for any of those kits. plus i didnt see any sample pics of teh dash kit in a new gen7 civic. question the company about any discounts or refunds you can get if you provide pics of the finished product in your car. I was going to get a blue c/f dash kit for my car from another company and not only didnt they have pics of a gen7 civic yet, but not of the blue c/f either. they said they would refund me teh shipping charges on teh product in exchange for the pics. doesnt seem like a lot but free shipping for a few snaps of teh job well done seems pretty fair.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah I bought the oem one and I was like looking at it and doesn't even match the chrome around my power window buttons so I was like that would be two tone and not match so I never installed the POS looks better with my all black interior. But yeah that is the total car I like it

Rep Power: 0 please DO NOT get this kit. It is a piece of $hit. Here's why:
I bought this kit, installed it for my 02 coupe (brushed aluminum finish).
Cons:
- The parts do not line up
- its not an oem quality fit
- some of the pieces have marks in it
- does not come with thorough instructions on how to install them properly
- they give you only TWO packets of 3M adhesion, and ONE alcohol swab to do the whole kit! (i know i can buy more, but still)
- the pieces don't line up well
- they were cut out unprofessionally, does not cover the whole face of the part its going to lay on top of
- I only used 19 pieces from the kit! Even though i paid for 30 pieces (of which ended up in the trash)
- Again does not look oem - in my opinion, looks cheap.
- does not fit over manual shifter portion properly AT ALL!
- It has an epoxy coating that makes the brushed aluminum thicker
- you have to clean it with furniture wax to maintain the shine - FURNITURE WAX???
If these aren't enough reasons to stick with black/tan or to go with the oem kit, i don't know what it is.
Pros:
- nice color (brushed aluminum)
- really livens things up (when you look at it from OUTSIDE THE CAR!)
Please, don't buy this kit. It sucks, you'll regret it.
I am going to convert mine back to classic black interior, the way I should've left it from the start. You know why?

Rep Power: 0 I disagree with DonJuan. Here are my pics... As you can see, the only way you can tell that they aren't PERFECT is if you look really really close... Only other thing is that they are a little thick (see 4th pic). Other than that
Also, they'll give you more adhesive promoter and isop. alchohol.... all you have to do is ask. And it might be true, they do look cheap, but only if when you see it with your nose touching it (IMO). Simple is good, but plain isn't imo.
