The intercooler cools down the air going into the intake because the turbo runs off exhaust gases. An intercooler will not help a non- turbocharged car. If you want cooler air into your engine grab a CAI. By the way, the AC condenser kinda looks like an intercooler, you could pass it off as one.

But whatever you do, don't get that intake that looks like an intercooler - it's made by arospeed and it's junk...

Get a Cold air induction. An intercooler in a non-turbocharged vehicle is freaking stupid. The point of an intercooler is to reduce the temperature of the air coming out of a turbocharger. This decreases its density = more power.

But, in a normally aspirated vehicle there is a huge, FREE supply of cold air. The air outside! CAI all the way.
this "intercooler" is freaking rice-esque to the max. It blocks your radiator (really bad) and probably adds weight (really pointless).

I agree A while back I was reading a import mag, and there was a car the was posted in all the popular import mags. It was a 6th gen civic hatchback, with a large front bumber and bright yellow. Some chump in the UK owns it. One day I picked up Max Power (A UK Mag) and his car was in there. The fewl have a tv under his hood and AV goodies everywhere, but what shocked me the most was this giant intercooler in the front. So thinking to my self "wait, i didnt see a turbo under the engine". So i went back a few pages, and indeed, no turbo, which means fake intercooler. This bozo gets all these awards, and was car of the year in some mag, but no one mentions that huge fake intercooler in the front of the car. Needless to say, I will not buy that mag again. It is getting very ricy, and I am sure we can all guess which one that is.
