Rep Power: 0 Can I get rid of this?
I just got a type R grille, and upon attempting to install the grille I discovered that the black plastic ducting that is attached to the top of the stock grille will not work with the new grille.
My boyfirend says that this piece is not necessary and I can do without it. I just want to make sure that this peice has no use before I start driving long term without it.
Thanks for any help you guys can provide for this matter.

Rep Power: 392 i'm not sure if you NEED it or not but i know the part from the sedan works. just switch your coupe ones with a sedan and it should fit fine.

Rep Power: 392 the grill is made for sedans not coupes... the only difference between the coupe and sedan grill besides the 1/2 bars is the black peice behind the grill

Rep Power: 0 hey u can do wihtout it it wont hurt ur car in anyway. I had mine out for awhile when my car was in an accident and i had the bumper repalced but all that does is keeps the grille from flapping in the wind.
