Looking for advice on body parts...

Replacing the hood on my '01 civic. My choices are scrapyard, Honda OEM, or non-OEM. I've gone non-OEM on headlights and side mirrors without issue, but really regretted going non-OEM on engine mounts and a rear deck. Any advice?

I would do scrap yard. Nothing fits like OEM.

I have a none oem mirror and it whistles in the wind.

Re: Looking for advice on body parts...

well the worst scenario with a aftermarket hood is fitment issues like larger gaping which really is not a big deal. other then that if its a painted hood the quality of the paint could come into play. most ebay sellers use dupont which is good paint except it won't be a perfect color match with an older car. paint shops can actually color match the paint for an added cost.

Lol. Mine does too. But it was like 1/3 the price so I can cope.
