Re: Flush mount hood pins

I have aerocatch hood pins with password:jdm mounting plates. Had to take a Dremel to my carbon fiber hood. Also had to cut open the fiberglass skeleton to gain access and get the mounting plate to sit right.

Zoom in to see them. I have more pics somewhere.

Re: Flush mount hood pins

Sorry it took me a while to get back to you with pics. Got super busy. Anyways, managed to snap a pic today. Sorry for the potato quality.

Long slit on the side was made to clear the PWJDM mounting plate. About 2 o'clock to the top of the slit, I had to shave away from the top to clear the aerocatch housing. Round hole is to clear the actual hood pin. The kit comes with a template to cut away the top of the hood.

I've been thinking about covering the holes on the underside with fiberglass, but I got lazy, and I wanna get the sides of the hood painted to match my car. The clear coat on the hood is fcked, so I need to get that redone, too. All of which would require removal of the hood pins to get done
