Is Anyone Else Waiting For The 4 Door Kaminari Kit?
I was set on buying the xenon sideskirts and kaminari rear, but I went to the site and it said the 4 door version would be coming out in "mid april." Of coarse it's a trend to be late on everything, but how long do you think it's really gonna take? I could just get the xenon which is urethane and save money cuz I bet once the kaminari is out it's gonna be expensive. I read on this site that Kaminari is fiberglass, but on some sites it says it's urethane, but wutever. I'm gettin really anxious about my kit and wanna order soon. How long do you think you guys think it's gonna be before it comes out?

Rep Power: 0 the whole kit is made of polyurethane (check their website) and the front should fit both coupe and 4door models but as far as the rear goes I would think that it fits both models also....

Rep Power: 292 I'm positive that the front fits both models. The rear is also listed as fitting too, but the sides are different. That's what I'm waiting on.

Rep Power: 0 I'm convinced that it will fit the sedan on the rear. If the Xenon rear designed for the coupe will fit on the sedan (I've seen it and it will) then I'm convinced that the Kaminari rear should be the same.
Will someone just call Kaminari and ask'em about that body kit for the sedan? My friend wants it for his sedan... I'm getting it for my coupe. It's something worth asking them about... cuz what about the KTR-2 wing? [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

Rep Power: 0 Yes, I'm waiting for the Kaminari Sedan kit too. I sent an email to them yesterday asking where it is. I don't think there's a better looking kit out there for the Civics. Can't wait to see the Sedan version. I am hoping it looks just as good as the Coupe's does. Does anyone know if that ram air hood is functional? I emailed Rhyno but haven't heard back from him. It's good to see some other sedans out there looking good!

If this was so... you would already know by now... as there would be a LOT more body kits on the sedan. Every company would lose a percentage of $ if coupes and sedan body kits were interchangable. Fortunately, the bumpers are the exception when it comes to side-skirts. I'm pretty sure the front bumpers are the same for both the sedan and coupe.

Indeed. The whole thing is composed of skirts. It has to be simplest looking, yet most expensive, body kit for the Civic.

This is exactly why I'm NOT getting the Kaminari rear. I'm just going for the front skirt, side skirts, and KTR-2 wing. I'm thinking of just going with the OEM body kit rear as the rear for the Kaminari looks kinda... ridiculous. I might end up getting it, though... because I don't think any other rear will really go with the kit, and to me, the OEM rear is a MAYBE. I'm not sure yet. The OEM rear looks simple enough but I wonder if it's big enough.

Rep Power: 0 Okay, I think I've just changed my mind about that rear skirt. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] It's not THAT bad. It fits well with the side skirts... better than the OEM. It's designed better despite the dual cut offs. You could run an extra pipe from the one main exhaust pipe and have two mufflers (don't go with two exhausts unless you're running forced induct). My friend is doing this on his sedan... I dunno WTF to say about that and I'm not gonna repeat what he said about it cuz it's totally unbelievable... but I don't know yet for sure anyways. Rep Power: 292 Keep us posted on the sedan kit. On the asylumms web site it says they are interchangeable, but asylumms is a horrible company, so I wouldn't trust them. I'm thinking about the xenon kit, but the Kaminari is just so good looking I wanna wait.

I know it fits. Or is it like the mustang, i.e. fake scoops that serve no purpose other than cosmetics from a distance. What say?

I cannot answer this for you. The only thing I can tell you is to ask Kaminari themselves, or ask someone who has that hood. I don't know anyone who does have that hood, sorry.
But this brings me to ask a question about the hood:
It comes in 3 versions:
Ram Air Hood
Ram Air Hood w/Insert
Ram Air Hood w/Carbon Fiber

Rep Power: 0 AS for the rest of you ive been waiting for the 4 door kit as well. i talked to kaminari and they said the kit is in the test fitting stage right now and should be out in the next couple weeks to possibly a month. the sides will look different than the 2 door due to the fact that they will clip under and not over. the whole kit will be in urethane and will run roughly the same price as the 2 door kit. now here is the part that'll make you cry. made me, WE MISSED OUT BECAUSE KAMINARI POSTED ON ANOTHER SITE THAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR A COUPLE 4 DOOR CIVICS TO DO A TEST FIT , KAMINARI WOULD GIVE YOU A FREE KIT AND PAINT IT FOR YOU. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS LEAVE THE CAR FOR A WEEK. NO SPONSOR STICKERS OR ANYTHING. I CALLED THEM AND ITS OVER. DAMMIT!!!!!
