1. Go to goggle
2. search "2000 Civic AC Kit" (you can copy and paste that)
3. Buy one! (you can even narrow your search and order over the interwebs so you don't have to deal with postage or that pesky telephone contraption)
4. Go back to google
5. search "Civic AC Installation"
6. realize how much time and money and knowledge it'll take to do it yourself (considering you weren't sure if they made it)
7. Take it to a mechanic or suffer in the oven...

Re: Need a/c kit ...

If I was in your situation, I would go to my local Junkyard and take AC system parts off another car. If you dont know how to do that, you will have to pay somebody else to do it. In your case it sounds like the previous owner of the car took off the AC for performance/wieght reduction reasons, so i would assume ur missing the AC condensor, AC compressor, and tubing...

that's what I get for assuming... in my experience most mechanics/shops don't do work with parts that aren't their own. also, the parts have been generally the same price, it's the labor that is hell. so find somewhere with the best price for labor and you should be set...

as Wally said, I know junkyards are the way to go to get something done cheap. call around and do some internet searching for people that have done the same thing and see what they did/would do different.

search, research, and then search again...
