tornado fuel saver, junk or what?
so i was up at 2 am when this infomercial comes on advertiseing this turbine looking thing you put into your intake that puts a vortex into your intake pipe and SUPPOSED to give you a lil more horsepower. maybe it was the lack of sleep but it seemed almost kewl.

i would say its crap bc when u put it on the air has to still go though the piping then though the throttle body then to the cylinder. so with all that lenght to get there i would say the vortex would be broken down by then.
actually my uncle has a toyota tacoma, supercharged, i know one in a million, anyways he is one of the people that stay up till twelve watching the telemarketing shows, he falls for all of them, he has fatter pockets that most people, anyways he bought it, before he installed it he was getting 18mpg, driving to work and back, after installed he was getting 23 mpg, same drive everyday. He took it to matrix motorsports, which is now closed in fwb but anyways got it dynoed and it gained 2 hp, not much but figure out the results yourself, if i had a scanner or a camera i would post the sheet, from what i saw, 60 bucks was worth it, i saw the changes with my own eyes, because i thought the ish was bluff, take your own from what i have said.
Even a 2 HP Gain and 5mpg is worth 80Bucks isn't it. I seems to me tahat everyone figures its a Piece of Junk. But until you know someone who has one and has determined it sucks, I don't think its right that so many people snub it.
Actually my dad fell for the product and bought it (flimsy metal thing). We both laughed at how cheap the thing is and how they must make so much profit from a piece of a little metal. Its just metal shaped into a little spiral thingy.
Anyways, we stuck it in, and well what do you know? It actually helps a *little*. Maybe as the previous post stated, 2HP gain? Nothing significant, but it seems like it did something. Seems to be a tad more power, but a minor loss of torque at lower RPM. I say its worth it more than spending 500 bucks for a noisy catback and gaining 2HP.
But considering how cheap it is to make that thing, I wouldn't like dishing out $60 for it.
