Civic SI and RSX parts swap?

Civic SI and RSX parts swap?
since both the Civic SI and the RSX have the same engines would the RSX parts work on an SI?? example, headers, intake? just curious. didnt bother to search if there was a thread on here, if there was, sorry

2k2 Si(R) HB, k203 160 hp
2k2 RSX (base) k203 160 hp
2k2 RSX (premium) k203 160 hp
2k2 RSX type s K202 200 hp
2k2 rsx JDM type R K201? 220 hp

the engine bay is virtually identical in layout in all
they are the same engine though the type S and JDM type R have a higher hp rating so there would be some differences in parts with those 2
I would think intake and headers would work fine, for the 160 hp version, the muffler however, no as the piping would be different
the older 99-00 b16a coupes had an aftermarket already prepared as it was the same engine used in the 94-97 b16a Delsol Vtec's though completely different chassis, only the engine parts were available already, ie headers, cams, etc, though the intake had to be redesigned for the si coupe, but the delsol version would have worked with mounting modification.

i said the engines are different, different torque numbers means they are different "somehow", i wasn't saying they aren't based off something similar. as for swapping parts, something little like, the difference in these engines might have different parts jabbing somewhere, where one jabs and the the other doesn't, so be very careful when swapping. just want to give a heads up cause swapping stuff is no joke

if the engine codes are the same, i am very sorry to tell you, but the engines ARE the same.......it could be as simple as a ECU swap to get the torque numbers up to the same as the RSX (base)......

Acctually not reowned at all.... They are exactly the same engine. What gives the different torque #'s is a different final drive ratio.

the difference in numbers is either in the ECU or the transmission or both. the only issue i would see with swapping parts would be the engine bay layouts. so while the part may actually fit on the engine, it may not necessarily fit in the engine bay. from what i hear, the Si engine bay has everything really crammed in there. parts may not physically fit in there, so be careful.

Rep Power: 420 Anyway... A header would mate up to the engine properly, but who knows if it would mate up to the catalytic converter or down pipe? Same thing with an intake, it outside of the enigne. You asking if the engines are similiar and you're asking about stuff outside of the engine. I bet pistons, valves, rocker arms, cam shafts, heads, crank shafts, and all the engine internals will be swapable, but the other stuff is still a mystery IMO.

btw, the difference between the rsx-s and the base rsx/civic si is that the type s and type r engines use a three rocker arm system while the base rsx/'vic si use a dual rocker vtec. plus they both have the variable intake cam. it has very little to do with final drive ratio or compression
