just got nitrous, any advice?
hello i just got nitrous for my 2001 civic ex coupe. im only running about 50 shots and the kit is from nitrous express. it is the exact one from honda tunning except for the bottle opener. so if any of you with nitrous have any suggestions that would be great. also what kind of up grades do i need before i let it lose. i have aem cai, aem pullies, denso spark plugs. thanks

hi i got nos for my lx 2001 .... i would suggest getting headers.... and maybe a cat back system....... also when u spray nos dont spray for more then 15 seconds....... also dont spray when car is off..... and last but not least...... dont spray more then 2-3 times a day.....

hey thanks i shoudl have mentioned i have custom exhaust but not headers. do they really matter because they are two peices. and if they do should i get the APC ones or dc or which one is better. i think im goning to run the nitrous on wide open throtle.
i thought the nitrous express version is a wet kit that only sprays a. when armed and b. at full throttle. you don't press a button for the shot. is this incorrect? i may be thinking of a different kit
you can set it up the way you want but thats how most people set up this kit, but i 2 was wondering if you should upgrade your piston rings or somthing> can you run a 50 shot on a total stock motor and not hurt anything?

Headers?? Why would you need more than one on a civic?
Oh I get it, A spare right?
Silly people, headers are for v8's and v6's. Our cars are 4 cylinders. We only need A Header.

yea spdrdcchk....Ive read many post on that.......personally DC refers to them as Headers refering to our car in a brochure i have,,,,,so does Superstreet and SCC........but whatever........I understand the whole 1 header thing,,,,but who knows......
well anyway,
spray more than 15 sec??????? what????
yea, its a WOT switch,,you dont hold the button down.......
and no, you dont need any internals,,,,,(w/ 50 shot)...sure it'd be nice, but there are none..........
colder plugs

........if you sray alot........get ready for a clutch eventually.......

I want new header...who talks like that. HeaderS is the way normal people pronounce it. Ya'll need to chill out, we're trying to help eachother here, forget about the petty comments. now for my little contribution of knowledge. I KNOW that when you run a nitrous kit, you can ignite when ever you want, just dont hold for more then 15-20 sec. You figure that a qtr mile only last about 15 secs....well if your car is stock, so it's not a problem. remember....honda engine are basically bullet proof. Carry on....
