Exclamation How to put on Rear halo's???

I just bought some Rear lamps. They are the one's that have halo's. they came with two wires with "male" ends on them from each halo. How do i get the halo's to work? were do i put the wires?

i assume you would wire the positive wire to a 12 volt source and ground the other one.

first determine which is + and which is - by hooking to a 9v battery. once you know that, there are several options. you can have them come on with park lights by tapping the power and ground to the small parking light wires. or you can have em only come on with brake lights, just hook the power upto the brake bulb wire. its easy whatever you decide. which tails do you have? pics?

so do you want the halo to come on with park lights? if so just tap them to a parking light with power and ground. that middle circle one is a park light i believe above the reverse light

you can check my profile for mods, and i have some pics posted around the site

they sell the wire taps at auto stores, but really its easier to just cut off the plastic cover of the wire you want to tap so the actual metal is exposed. then tightly wrap your exposed halo wire around it and tape up everything tight with electrical tape. do not cut the wire by accident, you only wanna trim off the plastic around it so you can connect your halo wire. a utility knife works well but be careful.

I'd like to see how this turns out. I've never seen halos on rears.

But then again, I only pay attention to the coupes on the site. Not many sedans call my attention (only Hayz's, gearbox's, Feriooooh's and, well... not many others, lol).

Post up pics when you put them on your car.
Welcome to the site.

so im guessing they are barely visible? i kinda assumed that looking at em. i actually had to redo the leds in my projectors and its still only visible at night in pure darkness. hey can you check the tails and see how they are sealed up? like do they look like stock where the plastic is melted together, or is there actually some sealant between the pieces. you could be able to take them apart and wire in some more leds to make it look good.
