Bodykit vs. Lip Kit

First of all why is it that everybody on this site has a lip kit hardly anybody has a bodykit. Which is better. I want to make a car thats more aimed at show and have a 2k1 lx coupe. I bought a bodykit really really really cheap off of a guy and i know that since i have repaired everything except the sideskirts i could buy a good lip kit if i sold it. If it helps it is a Cwest (mold) bodykit. Does anybody have any thoughts

if you want it to be a show car than a body kit is a good choice but there are some really nice lip kits out there. Body kits are usually too extreme for most people...well at least me

i have a pic of the bodykit. I paid 300 cdn for the front back and sideskirts but tops of the sideskirts like the part that goes infront of the wheel is broke off because they were glassed in but the kit is fitted and just needs a repaint. Did i get a good deal?

Here are the pics u cant see how bad the skirts are. The front bumper is nighthawk black (or wutever its called) and the rear bumper and skirts are ssm.

PS Do you know wut i can do about the skirts u cant really see how bad they are in that pic but would they look cool if i got them cut on the angle or would that look stupid

hey does anybody know wut i should do about my skirts. THe guy had them glassed in and then ripped them out so one has a chunk ripped out in an L shape and the other is on a diagonal. I think they can both be cut on a diagonal or maybe just topped off so they are on the same line as the L

Ps does anybody have this bodykit. Ive never seen it before. Its close to a Cwest but it has the side vents

I'd keep that rear bumper off your car, the rest should be fine but that rear is not going to add anything to the car................just IMO

BCCentaur3 is an unknown quantity at this point
i would sell the body kit and buy the lip kit, because i went through a couple of body kits and they suck, i live in minnesota so the winter kills them, even though they look good. I went to my stock bumpers will eventually get the lip kit soon.

Thats a good call about winter but im lookin at getting skunk2 coilover sleeves which i heard the ride isnt too bad on. That way in winter i can just raise the car back up. Im in ontario but winter isnt too bad plus im only 16 and the civic is a 3rd car thats mostly for me.

Hey would my car look bad without a drop because i dont really care about it and my bodykit is pretty low. I'm only doing 17 inch rims and i tried on the front bumper and i still have 5inches of clearence with the stock wheels on so that should be lots for winter.
