i'd rather just buy the n1 muffler and get custom 2.25" piping on that sucka...it'll be cheaper than getting apex'i n1 system and the diameter of the piping is most likely wider therefore more power

I agree with civicboi..... I have the Apex-i N1 (black) and I did a custom 2.25 piping and added a resonator. Plus I angled the exhaust out so in other words you can do what u please. Hmm... Last time I checked the full exhaust cat-back has been out for a while now. That's what I was told because I was thinking about getting the full cat-back.

Buy you guys must consider that custom piping is of crap quality. Different materials, poor worksmenship, crush bent. There is no all out better exhaust system really...its all a matter of what you want from it. Want some loud fart sound and the ability to choose from tons of muffler styles? Go custom. Want to be able to still hear your 4 cyl scream and gain a little bit of power? Get a pre made cat-back. By the way....right now I have a Arospeed muffler on custom 2.25" piping...its way to loud and obnoxious. I'm switching to the Thermal Stelth system this summer.

you can buy the aerospeed universal n1 style mufflers from r-speed.com... it's supposed to be exactly the same without the apex'i brand stamped on there... no one will really notice.. that's what i'm thinking...

how does n1 sound??? low and deep in all rpm????
i am thinking about getting N1 with 2.25 custom pipe..
currently i have 2.25 custom pipe with flowmaster universial muffler with tip....
it sounds ugly........ high, vibation, and cranky....

i have the apex'i with 2.5" pipes (don't b*tch about the size) it sounds nice and low. with the silencer attached, it sounds a little ricey at high RPM. i still love my exhaust though

how about when you take off silencer? is it still ricy at hir rpm?????
i am really concerned with the sound of muffler because although i put exhaust, the hp gain is not noticable..
with the silencer, is it quite????????

nope, without the silencer, it sounds great at high RPM.
you'll lose a little low end power, but it'll be made up in the upper end

Apexi N1 is probably gonna be more expensive compared to other brands. That's because Apexi spends a great deal of time on research & development. I mean, I'd rather pay extra $$ for better performance and sound than spend less $$ on custom push/bent pipings.
I agree that i would rather spend the money on a system that was made just for our car, and not one that you can just throw on a mustang if you wanted. More money=HKS (aobut $700) but it will be worth it!!!
